The Botswana Entertainment Promoters Association (BEPA) has announced a strategic partnership with the National Arts Council Botswana aimed at accelerating artist registration for the highly anticipated 2025 National Arts Festival.

The collaboration seeks to improve accessibility and boost participation across the country by rolling out an extensive registration drive targeting creative communities in Maun, Shakawe, Seronga, Rakops, Letlhakeng, Charleshill, and surrounding areas.

BEPA Secretary General Bame Motsomatshukudu confirmed that the association will work through its regional members and affiliates to support mobilisation, coordination, and logistical arrangements, ensuring that creatives from every corner of the country are given the opportunity to register and take part in the festival.

“This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to inclusivity, artistic excellence, and grassroots development,” said Motsomatshukudu. “We implore all creatives to step forward, register, and be part of this national movement.”

The 2025 edition of the National Arts Festival will feature a wide variety of disciplines, including Fashion, Modelling & Hairdressing, Traditional Songs & Dance, Drama, Choral, Namastap, Dikhwaere, Contemporary Music, Visual Arts, Poetry, Stand-Up Comedy, Clap and Tap, Mogolokwane, Polka, Music Video and DJ performance categories.

Organisers are calling on both emerging and established artists to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. In addition to national recognition, successful participants stand a chance to win development opportunities and attractive prizes.

The deadline for registration is set for Friday, 27th June 2025.

As part of the campaign, BEPA teams will be visiting the targeted regions to assist artists with registration and provide information about festival requirements. The association encourages local creatives to welcome the outreach teams and take advantage of the on-the-ground support being offered.

“This year’s festival promises amplified national recognition, increased exposure, and elevated platforms for talent,” added Motsomatshukudu.
