The Grand Palm Resort is set to raise the bar on lifestyle entertainment this year with the launch of a three-part Gin Experience series, one of the headline attractions marking the resort’s 30-year milestone celebrations.

The event series, which blends premium spirits, live music and social networking, will begin on 28 March 2026 at the Grand Palm Marquee, with two additional editions scheduled for 18 July and 7 November 2026. Organisers say the concept is designed to offer guests a relaxed outdoor setting where they can explore gin culture while enjoying curated entertainment.

The Gin Experience will run from 15:00 to 23:00, with guided tastings taking place between 15:00 and 19:00. During this time, guests will be able to sample a selection of premium gin brands while learning about flavour profiles, cocktail preparation and mixology techniques from industry professionals. The later part of the evening will shift into a more festive atmosphere featuring live performances, DJs and social activities.

According to the resort, the event is part of a broader calendar of lifestyle and entertainment activities planned throughout the year to celebrate three decades of hospitality at one of Botswana’s best-known leisure destinations. Over the years, The Grand Palm has built a reputation for hosting large-scale concerts, themed parties and corporate functions, and management says the new series is meant to continue that tradition while appealing to a younger, experience-driven audience.

Tickets for the March edition are priced at P200, P400 and P1,500, depending on the package selected, and are available at the Walmont Hotel reception. Members of the resort’s Winners Circle loyalty programme will receive a 10 percent discount on standard ticket prices.

The Gin Experience is being organised in partnership with several beverage and lifestyle brands, including Schweppes, Heineken Beverages, Benju, SMC Brands and Collections by BK Proctor. The collaborations are expected to add a fashion and lifestyle element to the experience, with product showcases, branded activations and social lounges planned during the events.

With the anniversary celebrations expected to run throughout 2026, organisers say the Gin Experience series will set the tone for a year focused on entertainment, premium experiences and social events aimed at both longtime patrons and a new generation of revellers in Gaborone.
