The thought is noble until you put faces to it!
At this moment I am thinking three people! Colonel Shadrack Kgosi, Colonel David Nkete and to a lesser extent Deputy Commander Mpho Mophuting.
One day it will be unraveled to all that Masisi’s tenure was nothing but evil lawlessness, chaos and regionalism. The Masisi-Magosi government deliberately created and perpetuated hatred campaigns against a cluster of people.
Many faced oppressive actions and policies, with a clear purpose of purging from the land where they had lived in relative peace for countless generations. Many rights were stripped because of the insecurities of a paranoid President strummed by a chronic liar
Tragically, there are thousands of stories just like those of the trio, many even more disturbing. The impact of what happened to Keabetswe Makgophe, Bruno Paledi and Tymon Katlholo can be seen in their worn out faces.
Makgophe, Paledi and Katlholo are a few of the lucky ones -not only were they killed, the emasculated media told their stories. Many were thrown into the fire to burn. Live they lived- but not living, their dignity diminished, tortured by memories of what they endured
Col. Shadrack Kgosi paid the price for being Isaac Seabelo Kgosi’s brother, dismissed arbitrarily because of a similar lie which consumed Nkete and Mophuting.
There is an extensive list of collaterals who accompanied the main acts of the purge!
So when a man who oversaw a plundering of government coffers, indebting future generations whilst at the same time climbing the ladder of billionaire status in a record five years sends well wishes, the question has to be asked to whom this is intended
Those he purged or those he enabled!
