Sbrana Psychiatric Hospital has announced a new policy prohibiting relatives from bringing snacks to admitted patients. The hospital issued a public notice emphasizing that this measure is effective immediately.

The hospital’s administration stated that the decision was made to prioritize the safety and mental health of its patients. “The reason for this development is to ensure that the safety and both mental and overall health of the patients are guaranteed at all times,” the notice read.

Dr. Joseph Shama, the Hospital Superintendent, expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the new policy but underscored its importance. “This change is a necessary step to safeguard patient safety and promote good well-being,” he remarked.

The policy change has garnered mixed reactions from the public, with some expressing understanding and others concern over the restriction.
