For Basadi Masimolole, founder and director of Bash Connektor, TatsoConnekt Sessions were never just about brunch, they were about purpose. The 7 February 2026 TatsoConnekt Gin & Tea Brunch In Collaboration With Botho Treats hosted at Arabella Cafè, Lobatse, initially scheduled from 11am to 3pm, stretched into the night, with some guests lingering until 10pm.
But according to Masimolole, the real success was not in the extended hours, it was in how guests left feeling.

The intention was to ignite self-love, confidence and self identity. Attendees later shared that they felt “ba tlhokometsw e” (seen and cared for) and reminded “go itlhomela” to prioritize themselves.
Rooted in heritage, the TatsoConnekt Gin & Tea Brunch experience was inspired by rooibos-infused gin, which Masimolole discovered on her December 2025 Botswana trip, sparking a desire to showcase Botswana’s hospitality, travel, tourism, and homegrown excellence.
Since launching in 2022, TatsoConnekt Sessions have evolved into high-value, low-volume curated experiences, while also expanding into broader impact projects.
Previous editions, including the 2025 Leading Women Brunch at Gabane Pottery, reintroduced guests to clay therapy, kneading and moulding as a form of healing. For Masimolole, incorporating tatso (taste) is about proving that Botswana’s practices are equally refined and worthy of premium positioning. Since launching in 2022, TatsoConnekt Sessions have evolved into high-value, low-volume curated experiences, while also expanding into broader impact projects.

March 2026 w ill see Women’s Month Pop-Up Markets and “TatsoConnekt for Bagw ebi,” connecting small business owners with trailblazers in Gaborone, Francistown and Maun. Though expansion beyond Botswana is part of the vision, Masimolole insists the country remains the proof of concept.
Success of TatsoConnekt Sessions, she says, is measured by impact – spotlighting and spending on local businesses in the communities that host TatsoConnekt Sessions, from taxis and décor companies to venue partners and more. As Botswana marks 60 years of independence and Bash Connektor turns five, Masimolole’s mission remains clear: create intentional, safe spaces for healing, growth and meaningful networking.
