Masheleng Launches 2025 National Tour to Empower Batswana Through Financial Literacy

Gaborone, Botswana – In a country where financial inequality continues to widen the gap between potential and opportunity, Masheleng is taking bold steps to bridge it – one empowered conversation at a time.

The company has officially launched the Masheleng 2025 Financial Literacy Tour, a national campaign aimed at bringing practical money education, economic tools, and financial confidence to thousands of Batswana across six towns: Maun, Francistown, Palapye, Jwaneng, Gaborone, and Ghanzi.

But this isn’t just another event tour. It’s a movement and at the heart of it lies a powerful campaign to ensure that even the most overlooked voices are heard and included.

“This year, we’ve introduced a sponsorship drive to provide free tickets to students, unemployed youth, single mothers, and small-scale entrepreneurs – people often left out of financial conversations, yet most in need of them,” says Seatla Ratshosa, Founder and Director of Masheleng. “We believe financial empowerment is a right, not a privilege.”

The sponsorship campaign invites individuals, companies, and donors to sponsor access for those who would otherwise not afford to attend. It’s a chance to invest not just in people but in the potential that has long been locked out of opportunity due to lack of knowledge or access.

Masheleng is already a household name through its weekly TV show on BTV, and a growing online presence that reaches over 350,000 followers. But this tour brings the platform offline and into communities, delivering live workshops, expert panels, and actionable tools that demystify money for everyday citizens.

From explaining savings and investment basics to breaking down debt, insurance, and starting small businesses, Masheleng meets people where they are and helps them build from there.

The initiative starts in Maun on the 7th of June then goes to Francistown on the 5th of July, Palapye on the 2nd of August, Jwaneng 6th of September, Gaborone 27th of September and closes in Gantsi on the 25th of October 2025. Tickets are sold at General: P350, Standard: P750 and VIP: P1,250 for those willing to attend.

“This isn’t about giving handouts,” says Campaign Strategist & Producer Gauta Eyman, “It’s about unlocking mindsets, giving people the tools to dream again, and making sure no one is left behind.”

As the tour prepares to roll out in June, Masheleng is calling on brands, individuals, and communities to sponsor a ticket, change a life and join a movement that’s quietly transforming Botswana from the inside out.
