The France based African Music Academy is an association under the French law of 1901. This initiation was created in 2014 with ambitions is to promote pan-African music from the African continent and the diaspora. This initiative includes educational competing, and professional actions, as well as dedicated awards. The initiative seeks to primarily sustain the African musician at the core of both the message and the architecture.

At the beginning of the nomination process, 360 African Artists were nominated across 6 categories of; Composers, Song Writers, Producers, Managers, Performers and Musicians. All African Countries, across all African Regions took part, and Botswana was represented in all the 6 categories by: Kearoma Rantao, Suffocate, Mmurubele, Han-C, Fella, and Boago FENJU. An event is being organised in France where our very own Boago FENJU will be officially designated.
