Botswana Air Access warmly welcomes the successful launch of Proflight Zambia’s 3x- per-week, seasonal Lusaka–Livingstone–Maun service, which officially commenced on 02 May 2026.

Every new connection creates ripple effects of opportunity, and we look forward to seeing this service strengthen our economies, expand access for travellers and enhance regional mobility. We are committed to fostering a partnership that supports the long-term success, sustainability and growth of this important new route.”
The Lusaka–Livingstone–Maun route is expected to boost tourism collaboration, business opportunities and expand travel options for safari enthusiasts by connecting the world famous Victoria Falls with the Okavango Delta.
The new service enhances Botswana’s air connectivity and supports the shared vision of promoting tourism and economic growth across the region. Zambia remains one of Botswana’s key regional partner markets – and the route will further strengthen business cooperation, tourism flows, investment opportunities and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Based on 2025 two-way international origin-destination passenger volumes, Zambia was Botswana’s fourth-largest African source country. An estimated 18 000 passengers travelled between the two countries during 2025 – representing a 22% increase compared with 2024 volumes. Volumes are expected to increase even further as passengers have improved ease of air access between Livingstone and Maun.
The Lusaka–Livingstone–Maun route is expected to boost tourism collaboration, business opportunities and expand travel options for safari enthusiasts by connecting the world famous Victoria Falls with the Okavango Delta. It also aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Botswana Air Access programme to attract new regional and international routes – contributing to sustainable economic growth and job creation.
