Aupa Monyatsi is set to take over as Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) following his resignation from Letshego Holdings Limited. Currently serving a three-month notice period at Letshego, Monyatsi is expected to bring a wealth of experience and innovation to one of Botswana’s most critical financial institutions.

While neither Monyatsi nor the BSE has formally announced the move, sources close to the development have confirmed his appointment. The leadership change is anticipated to align with the BSE’s strategy to enhance market performance, attract new listings, and deepen investor confidence.

Monyatsi joined Letshego in 2022 as Group CEO, where he spearheaded transformative initiatives, including the implementation of advanced digital platforms and the streamlining of operations to foster financial inclusion.

Before Letshego, Monyatsi held senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank Botswana and Barclays Bank Botswana.
