Orange Botswana has renewed its partnership with Olympic Athletics Champion Letsile Tebogo, extending the athlete’s role as Orange brand ambassador. This extension solidifies a relationship that has flourished since Tebogo turned professional, with both parties working closely to inspire and empower the nation.
The new deal comes in the wake of Tebogo’s stunning victory at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he clinched Botswana’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in the 200 meters. The relationship started three years ago when Orange Botswana identified the renowned young sprinter who became the first Motswana to win the 100m title at the World Championship at Oregon, United States of America. He subsequently won the gold medal in the 100m and silver in the 200m at both the 2021 and 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships.

Commenting on the renewed partnership, Orange Botswana CEO, Néné Maïga, said, “We are not only thrilled to continue working with Letsile because he’s an international champion, but also because he is a beacon of hope and a role model for many generations. His achievements have brought pride and joy to Botswana, putting the country on the global stage.”

Tebogo’s remarkable achievements, which include being named the 2024 World Athletics Male Athlete of the Year, have strengthened his relationship with the leading telecommunication player. Orange Botswana has been a consistent supporter of the athlete, aligning with his values of excellence and perseverance.

“Letsile embodies the very spirit of Orange Botswana, a commitment to excellence and breaking boundaries. His success story is one that resonates deeply with our brand, and we look forward to supporting him on his journey,” Maïga added.

Tebogo’s team also expressed their gratitude, recognizing Orange Botswana’s unwavering commitment. The renewed partnership comes as the sprinter continues to shine on the world stage, most recently competing in the Athletics South Africa Grand Prix Series.
“As we look to the future, we are excited to work with Letsile in reaching new heights and inspiring the next generation of Batswana.

His journey is one of triumph, and we are proud to be a part of it,” Maïga concluded.
With this extension, Tebogo is set to remain the face of Orange Botswana, representing the company’s dedication to excellence and national pride.
