    Stanbic Bank Botswana has proudly emerged as a double award winner at the inaugural Visa Bank Awards, held to celebrate the contributions of local issuers and acquirers in advancing financial inclusion and innovation. Hosted by Visa, the global leader in digital payments, the awards spotlighted the remarkable strides made by financial institutions in expanding access to financial services and fostering a robust digital payments ecosystem in Botswana.

    Stanbic Bank Botswana received the Visa Payments Excellence Award 2024 and the Visa Brand Awareness Award 2024, solidifying its position as a leader in delivering outstanding customer experiences and strengthening its connection with clients through trusted financial services.This supports investment by the Bank in recent months to enhance customer experience and and solve for progress and growth.

    The awards come at a time when Botswana’s digital payments landscape is experiencing unprecedented growth, with 2.8 million Visa cardholders – a figure that surpasses the country’s population of approximately 2.3 million. This achievement reflects the power of collaboration between Visa and its banking partners, including Stanbic Bank, in empowering individuals and businesses through secure and innovative payment solutions.
