GABORONE, Botswana — Reinette van der Merwe, Letshego’s newly appointed Africa Group Chief Executive Officer, has begun her tenure with a decisive start after assuming office on October 1, 2025. She has been engaging directly with employees, operations, and stakeholders across the Group’s 11-country footprint, signaling her commitment to collaboration and growth.

During her first “@OneLetshego Africa Call,” a regional virtual town hall connecting staff from all markets, van der Merwe expressed enthusiasm for leading one of Africa’s few Botswana-born multinational financial institutions. She reaffirmed Letshego’s mission to drive financial inclusion through innovation and partnerships that improve people’s lives.
