AP to Welcome Some ‘Big Fish’ From BDP

The Alliance for Progress (AP) is set to welcome several high-profile former Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members.AP officials confirmed that among the new recruits are Mr Jeffrey Tornado Sibisibi, former Kweneng District Council (KDC) member and president of the Botswana Association of Local Authorities (BALA); Mr Slumber G. Mokgosi, former Deputy Chairman of KDC; Mrs Keamogetse Keikanne, former councillor in Molepolole South; and Mr Poloko Motlhobogwa, a senior councillor in Molepolole South for over 25 years.

“Each of these comrades has a strong track record of leadership in local governance and has mobilized over 100 supporters across Molepolole.”

“These are some big fish we will be proudly welcoming into AP,” said Hon Shima Monageng, AP Member of Parliament for Molepolole South. “Each of these comrades has a strong track record of leadership in local governance and has mobilized over 100 supporters across Molepolole.” The official welcoming ceremony will feature key AP leadership, including Vice President Hon Winter Mmolotsi, Chairman Hon General Pius Mokgware, Secretary General Hon Dr Phenyo Butale, and MP Hon Shima Monageng.

AP has also announced that a major rally is planned for early next year, which is expected to officially welcome hundreds of new members into the party, further consolidating AP’s presence in the constituency.“This is a significant moment for AP as we continue to broaden our base and strengthen our representation at the local level,” Monageng added. “The addition of experienced leaders like Sibisibi, Mokgosi, Keikanne, and Motlhobogwa will undoubtedly bolster our efforts to deliver meaningful governance to the people of Molepolole South.”
