President Duma Boko has appointed Matshidiso Bokole on promotion to the substantive position of Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP) and Secretary to the Cabinet.
The appointment was announced by the Office of the President in a statement issued on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Bokole has been serving as Acting Permanent Secretary to the President following the departure of Emma Peloetletse. Her confirmation places her in charge of the country’s public service administration and Cabinet secretariat functions.
In the same announcement, President Boko appointed Idah Motsamai on promotion to the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary to the President in the Office of the President.
The Office of the President said both appointments took effect on June 1, 2026.
