Minister Of Local Government & Traditional Affairs Hon Motshegwa Meets Union Leaders

The Minister of Local Government & Traditional Affairs Hon Ketlhalefile FC Motshegwa today met with union leaders on a courtesy call meeting. The Minister indicated Government ‘s commitment to building and nurturing sound industrial relations to democratise the workplace , for protection and promotion of workers rights and welfare. He said the Ministry leadership will ensure that there is convening of consultative meetings with Trade Unions for workers grievances and disputes to be addressed.

The Minister assured union leaders that as a cabinet member he will contribute to ensuring that the programme of resuscitation of the Public Service Bargaining Council succeed, there be implementation of labour law review report, improvement of conditions of service of employees to trigger positive staff morale, for enhanced productivity in the workplace to in turn propel quality service delivery to the people, which he said is very important taking into account the proximity of the ministry to the people.
