President Boko Signs Condolence Book in Honor of Late US President Jimmy Carter

BWPresidency: This afternoon, President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko signed a condolence book at the American Embassy in Gaborone to pay tribute to the late 39th President of the United States, James Earl Carter Jr.

In a statement announcing President Carter’s passing, U.S. President Joe Biden described him as a man of unparalleled character, courage, and compassion, whose lifetime of service established him as one of the most influential statesmen in American history.

American Ambassador Howard Van Vranken, speaking to local media, drew parallels between President Duma Gideon Boko and President Carter, emphasizing their mutual dedication to human rights. Ambassador Van Vranken noted that both leaders have demonstrated unwavering commitment to promoting dignity, justice, and humanitarian values globally.
