The Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) has issued a press release addressing a circulating document that alleges controversial acquisitions of assets and properties by the Directorate, as well as operational and administrative improprieties involving its Director General, Brigadier (Rtd) Peter Magosi.

In the release, the DIS emphasized its commitment to national security and adherence to the Intelligence and Security Services Act. The Directorate assured the public that all decisions made by Brigadier Magosi, both operational and administrative, are in line with established procedures and guidelines.

The DIS expressed concern over the allegations being discussed on various media platforms and called for responsible reporting on matters related to national security. The Directorate also invited media houses to engage directly with its Public Relations and Protocol office for any necessary clarifications.

Edward Robert, the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, reiterated the DIS’s dedication to transparency and collaboration with the media to ensure the country’s well-being. The Directorate remains focused on maintaining standard intelligence practices and safeguarding national security.
