…as Fairgrounds Holdings targets 36,000 visitors
Fairground Holdings announced on Wednesday that the 19th Botswana Consumer Fair will take place from 24 to 30 August at the Botswana Conference and Exhibition Centre under the theme “Showcasing Botswana in Full Colour”. The event is expected to attract more than 36,000 visitors and over 550 exhibition stalls.
Fairground Holdings said this year’s fair will feature a new attraction, the Taste & Sip Village, designed to combine food, beverages, live entertainment and social experiences alongside the traditional exhibition. The initiative was introduced following feedback from visitors seeking a broader lifestyle experience.
Fairground Holdings said tourism operators will continue to benefit from preferential exhibition rates aimed at increasing participation from the sector and strengthening the visibility of Botswana’s tourism offerings.
Fairground Holdings chief executive Gorata Gabaraane said the fair had evolved beyond a conventional exhibition into a platform connecting businesses, entrepreneurs and consumers. She said the event celebrates Botswana’s diversity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit while promoting local products, services, tourism and innovation.
