Botswana Sustainability Week (BSW) will return for its fourth edition from October 21 to 23, 2026.
The summit will bring together leaders from across the country to explore how sustainability can drive the country’s next phase of growth.
The summit, which will be held at Sedia Hotel in Maun under the theme “The Business of Sustainability: Activating Private Sector Leadership to Drive Botswana’s Next Growth Economy,” is expected to attract delegates from tourism, finance, energy, industry, government, civil society and development partners.
Hosted by Green Loop Foundation alongside public and private sector partners, BSW26 aims to position sustainability as a practical economic development agenda aligned with the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme (BETP), National Development Plan 12 and Vision 2036.
Founder Lindiwe Modise says the event is designed to move sustainability conversations beyond awareness and into action.
Modise says the event has been structured as a working platform rather than a conventional conference. “We are bringing together decision-makers, investors, project developers and sustainability practitioners to develop solutions that can be implemented beyond the three days of the summit.”
“BSW26 is about ensuring that sustainability and ESG commitments become fundable, implementable and measurable,” she says. “We want businesses and institutions to see sustainability as a driver of economic growth and competitiveness rather than simply a reporting requirement.”
The programme will focus on three key areas: collaborative sustainable financing mechanisms, practical ESG implementation, and opportunities to leverage Botswana’s natural capital through partnerships between tourism, energy and industry.

The summit will feature leadership engagements, capacity-building sessions, exhibitions and project development discussions aimed at accelerating sustainable business practices and investment opportunities.
Organisers expect participation from representatives of Botswana’s 18 economic sectors, with total attendance capped at 260 delegates. Registration, exhibition opportunities and partnership packages are currently open.
