The African gaming industry has received a significant boost following the announcement of a strategic partnership between the African iGaming Alliance (AiA) and global gaming technology company SPRIBE, the creator of the widely popular Aviator game.

Under the agreement, SPRIBE has joined the African iGaming Alliance as a platinum supplier member, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the growth of responsible, sustainable and commercially viable regulated gaming markets across the continent.

The partnership will focus on strengthening Africa’s rapidly expanding gaming ecosystem through collaboration on regulatory engagement, industry research, policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement and responsible gaming initiatives. Both organisations will also work together to promote effective regulation, combat illegal gambling activities, improve market channelisation and encourage evidence-based policymaking across African jurisdictions.

As Africa’s gaming sector continues to attract growing consumer interest and international investment, industry stakeholders are increasingly recognising the importance of collaboration in shaping a sustainable future for the sector.

“SPRIBE brings valuable expertise, innovation and global industry experience that will strengthen our efforts to support regulators, governments, operators and other stakeholders across the continent. We look forward to working together to promote responsible gaming, regulatory best practice and long-term industry sustainability,” he said.

Commenting on the partnership, African iGaming Alliance Chief Executive Officer, Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, said SPRIBE’s decision to join the organisation represents a strong endorsement of the Alliance’s vision for a well-regulated and sustainable gaming industry across Africa.

“SPRIBE brings valuable expertise, innovation and global industry experience that will strengthen our efforts to support regulators, governments, operators and other stakeholders across the continent. We look forward to working together to promote responsible gaming, regulatory best practice and long-term industry sustainability,” he said.

Founded in 2018, SPRIBE has rapidly established itself as one of the most influential gaming technology companies globally. Its flagship product, Aviator, has gained widespread popularity among players in numerous markets worldwide.

SPRIBE Chief Operating Officer Giorgi Tsutskiridze described Africa as one of the most promising growth regions for the global gaming industry, citing increasing regulatory maturity, technological innovation and growing consumer adoption across many countries.

“We are delighted to partner with the African iGaming Alliance and support its important work in fostering sustainable, responsible and well-regulated gaming markets. Through this collaboration, we look forward to contributing our experience and working alongside stakeholders across the continent to help shape the future of the African gaming industry,” he said.

The partnership comes at a pivotal time for the African gaming sector as governments and regulators continue to modernise regulatory frameworks to keep pace with industry growth. Industry experts believe that stronger collaboration between regulators, operators and technology providers will be critical in ensuring the sector delivers economic, technological and social benefits while maintaining high standards of consumer protection and responsible gaming. The African iGaming Alliance remains at the forefront of efforts to promote a transparent, sustainable and well-regulated gaming environment that benefits governments, operators, suppliers and consumers across Africa.
