Business Botswana has urged businesses and companies to implement remote work arrangements where possible as persistent heavy rains continue to impact business operations and public safety across the country.

In a communique issued Thursday, the organization advised businesses to take precautionary measures to protect employees and maintain operations amid the adverse weather conditions.

“The safety of our workforce is a priority during this time, and we encourage employers to ensure their employees are protected from potential flood risks,” the communique read. “Businesses should assess the safety of their facilities, implement measures to minimize disruptions, and provide necessary support for employees affected by the heavy rains.”
