    President Boko Announces P2,500 Allowances for VDCs and New Public Works Programme

    At Tlokweng Kgotla meeting of 27th May 2025 President Duma Boko , has announced that in the reviewed VDC guidelines by Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs, VDCs will be paid allowance at rate of P2500 recognising their hardwork, contribution and role in development. The reviewed guidelines seek to enhance the role to truly focus on serious development for community led development working with Public Works Programme, Cooperatives, Trusts, improve in VDCs aspects of leadership, responsibility, accountability, transparent. Further that Ipelegeng is being transformed into Public Works Programme (PWP) with changed content and scope of work to focus in basic infrastructure, maintenance, and PWP will pay allowance at P2500.
